Specific objective: to establish and intensify long-term and structural cross-border cooperation for greater social and economic integration and to reduce administrative and legal barriers.

In the protectAlps project, the LfU, together with German and Austrian project partners, is recording the harmful effects of chemical stressors on insects in alpine regions. The aim is to create standards and framework conditions for a joint, cross-border approach to the protection of alpine biodiversity. The Sonnblick Observatory is working within the framework of activity T1.1, the standardized recording of nitrogen immission as a basis for the input of nitrogen into wild ecosystems.
