The Sonnblick Observatory benefits of long-term partners playing an important role for growth in infrastructure and science. The comprehensive measuring program of the Sonnblick Observatory is supported by the following various institutes: These very important long-time monitoring projects are part of the work by the Austrian Environmental Agency (Umweltbundesamt GmbH), the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), the Technical University Vienna (TU-Wien) and is enhanced by the ministry BMLFUW (https://www.bmlfuw.gv.at/), the BMWFW (https://www.bmwfw.gv.at/) and the state governments of Salzburg and Carinthia. Around 25 scientific institutions are involved with the Sonnblick Observatory.

Beside the scientific institutions, local trades are crucial. On behalf of the ZAMG and the association Sonnblick Verein, these trades help keep Sonnblick Observatories’ infrastructure to a high standard.

Members, supporters, sponsors and donators of the Sonnblick Verein contribute significantly to the preservation of the Sonnblilck Observatory. Many scientists and institutions are members of the Sonnblick Verein. Important sponsors are the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern and the Österreichsiche Akademie für Wissenschaft (Austrian Academy of Sciences).
